Bob, I was forwarded your tip sheet from my pub. guy Jon Wolfson.

I must say I was surprised to see the sorry state of some of the concert acts you mentioned. But then again how many of them have worked their ass off touring for over 30 years...you may think that we have NO profile but the journalist from Spin Mag that I recently spoke with informed me that we have become a "cult" band...hmm perseverance once again or perhaps we're just a really good band with a 300 + catalog of songs that still seem to resonate with young and old alike...let's look up the word "classic"... not to mention, being able to deliver the material night in and night out at a very high level of musicianship without the aid of anything more than a good sound system and a couple of lean light trusses.

As for "arrogance" I would have used the words "pride and confidence" which my partner Daryl has in abundance and backs it up 24/7 on stage. Now speaking of the mustache... I shaved my "stash" in 1991, much to the despair of thousands of 20 something fans who have come to regard it as some sort of sartorial cultural icon from a time when sex wasn't always lethal and you actually had to be able to sing and play to get asses in the seats.

Thanx so much for making the point you did, I do appreciate it and look forward to our next tour just to check your take on things...by-the-way I hear we're pretty much sold out on our Canadian dates in August. All the best and keep telling it like it is!

Have you ever seen Will Hoge live? I first saw him about a year and a half ago, opening for Marc Broussard at the HoB in Chicago. I see hundreds of shows a year and I'm pretty hard to impress anymore. Will blew me away. By the end of his set, I was ready to have his children. (Call me, Will!) I've since logged thousands of miles following him. I've seen him play shows to a dozen people and I've seen him play shows to hundreds of people. He brings passion and intensity to every show he does, no matter the audience size. I've also never seen a musician quite SO connected to his audience. He takes the time to talk to everyone after every show, no matter how big or small the audience size. He updates his blog on a regular basis. He works hard to build (and keep) his audience. And his fans reward him with a loyalty that you just don't see anymore.

Give Will a chance. Visit his <a href="http://www.willhoge.com" rel="nofollow">website</a>. Visit his <a href="http://www.myspace.com/willhoge" rel="nofollow">MySpace</a>. See him live. Pretty soon, you'll be sending out Letters singing Will's praises.
