I'll keep it short Bob...this really is hard for people associated with the dishonesty of the music business to understand. There were no tricks with the Myspace. We don't know each other so you have no reason to believe me. If you did know me you would know I am as straight up as it gets in this business and take me for my word.

She wrote Bubbly in August. She put it up in September. Since then the page views and song plays has grown 100% organically by word of mouth. The label who signed her couldn't wait to get the password for her myspace page after the deal was signed to see what we were doing to juice it. Needless to say they were shocked when they discovered that there was no &#34;special code&#34;.

If you are familiar with how myspace works you know that you can designate anyones song as your song and when people visit your page they hear the song and it counts as a play. Everyone was adding Bubbly as their song. Everyone on the site adored her.

This may be the first artist that breaks after having a huge internet buzz. Several before her have failed miserably.

Talk about honesty...Colbie was working in a tanning salon back in November. A year ago today she was still trying to decide whether to go back to community college or not.

The mass appeal from myspace led to her deal and because the music is so fresh and honest it is sticking. People who hear it fall in love with it.

One more note...the Little Things and Feelings Show on her myspace page are demos. The album tracks have live drums you will be happy to know. We are going to sub out the songs for the album versions very soon (as soon as I get corporate approval :)

Thanks again Bob for taking notice.

		<description>
Hi Bob,

My name is Mikal Blue and I produced Colbie Caillat's album 'Coco.' Thanks for the very complimentary blog.

I just wanted to explain that although there are drum machines/loops on a couple of Colbie's tracks on myspace, these are early versions of the songs and were all replaced by real drums on the album.

I am all about producing music that is warm and organic and would not release unfinished demos of songs. Colbie, however, couldn't wait to put some of the songs online and then after the reaction we did not dare change them too much on the site! :)

Thanks again Bob,
