Thanks for Acknowledging "The Flame" as a Brilliant Track.

After of years of reading CT Slam me & The Flame, in the press, I feel like Justice has been served!

It was a pleasure to read your Cheap Trick review this morning -- whenever I'm asked about the production I enjoyed the most, "Heaven Tonight" is my immediate response. Cheap Trick was a pleasure to work with, both as musicians and as comedians. Few producers have the opportunity to make records with a band comprised of individuals who are among the very best at what each one does. Compared to other recording projects, we would literally fly through the albums. The Dream Police album was completed, load-in to mastering, in 4 weeks, with Sundays off. And Jack Douglas was the one who called me at Epic Records in 1975 to tip me off to the band. When I recall all those difficult and musically challenging productions of the 70's and 80's, the 3 Cheap Trick albums distinguish themselves from the others as having been a simple pleasure to produce. It's nice to know they're still rockin' hard.

Hi Bob,

A beautiful commentary, about a great band. Thank you. Knowing them from my Epic days and "The Flame" of course (I guess I'm the culprit there). But, more than that song, it was the band that I loved, and still do. How many years has it been now, over 30 and they still kick ass. You're right, that's what rock and roll is all about.
